| Puppy Kindergarten II is the second in a two part series. It
is open to the general public but only to those puppies and handlers who have completed
CATC's Puppy Kindergarten I class. |
 |
| The class provides the opportunity for each puppy to become
more "solid" on the obedience and introductory agility lessons taught
in the first class and to adjust to training collars, long lines, etc. so they
can successfully make the transition to advanced classes and excercises. Completing
Puppy Kindergarten I and II is the equivalent of waiting until later to take the
Beginning Obedience class. Graduates of Puppy Kindergarten I have the option of
taking this class or moving directly into the Begininning Obedience class. |
 |
| Puppy Kindergarten II is a 7 week long class that meets on Monday evenings.
Times for this class will vary depending on other class schedules, but will always
start at either 7:00 P.M. or 8:00 P.M. It is free to members and costs $70 for
non-members. Registration procedures are
explained at the conclusion of Puppy Kindergarten 1; in general non-members must
pre-register by completing the form they are given on the last night on Puppy
Kindergarten 1 and mailing it to the Apprentice Membership Chairperson. Although
both members and non-members must pre-register, there is no need to update the
vaccination history information. |
 |
| Members may have the option of skipping Puppy Kindergarten
I and enrolling directly in Puppy Kindergarten II. To do so they should contact
the Apprentice Membership Chairperson and be prepared to provide the requested
vaccination history. |
